Erratum

Erratum

In ELT Journal 38/4 (October 1984), several words were omitted from the penultimate sentence of A. P. R. Howatt's review of Fundamental Concepts of Language Teaching, by H. H. Stern. The sentence should have read: ‘It is written with considerable punch and reads much faster than expected, assisted in no small measure by some skilful editing in, for instance, the restrained but helpful use of sub-headings, diagrams, and numbering systems (thankfully there are no decimals), as well as variations in typography and a comfortable print-size throughout.’

We apologize to the author and to the reviewer for this omission.
